Terms and Conditions

These terms cover your use of Split Harbor’s web app, iOS beta, account and shared-expense service, provided by Kotur Studio, the independent developer brand of Deepak Kotur. By selecting the agreement on signup, you agree to these terms.

Using Split Harbor

Split Harbor helps you record and share expenses, allocate monthly bills and track reported repayments. It does not transfer money, collect debts or verify that a payment occurred. Check amounts, line assignments and recipients before posting or confirming records. Resolve payment disagreements directly with the people involved.

Your account and invitations

Use an email address you control and protect your login credentials. Invite only people you reasonably expect to participate, and do not send unsolicited or repeated unwanted invitations. Accepting an invitation gives you access to the group records permitted by your membership.

Shared information

Only add information you have permission to share. Avoid unnecessary personal details in bill aliases, descriptions and attachments. Other authorized group members can see shared records. You remain responsible for the accuracy of the records you enter and for respecting other people’s privacy.

Availability

The web app is publicly available; the iOS app is a TestFlight beta. Features may change and errors or interruptions may occur. TestFlight builds may expire. Keep your original bills and independent records of important payments. Review imported amounts before relying on them.

Fees

The current service is free and ad-free. Accepting these terms does not authorize a future charge. Any paid offering will be described separately and require the applicable purchase agreement.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service for unlawful activity, harassment, fraud, impersonation or attempts to access another person’s account or private group without permission. Kotur Studio may restrict access when necessary to address abuse, security risks or legal obligations. Contact support if you believe access was restricted in error.

Leaving and deleting an account

You can stop using the app and request account deletion through its privacy controls. Shared accounting history may remain under an anonymous member identity so other participants retain their records. Leaving a group or deleting an account does not settle a real-world debt.

Privacy

See our Privacy Policy for information about account data, shared records, local bill processing and deletion. Optional notifications and device biometrics are separate choices.

Apple and your rights

Apple’s applicable TestFlight and platform terms continue to apply. This page describes the Split Harbor service and does not replace Apple’s applicable software license terms. Nothing here excludes rights or remedies that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

Changes and support

We will publish revised terms with a new version date and explain material changes before requiring renewed agreement. For questions about these terms or the app, contact support@koturstudio.com.
