Shared Expenses is a working name for an unreleased Kotur Studio app. This describes its development design, not a final launch privacy notice. Production retention periods, hosting and regional obligations are still under review.

Who develops the app

Kotur Studio is the independent developer brand of Deepak Kotur. Contact privacy@koturstudio.com about privacy and data requests.

Accounts and shared records

The design uses an email address and account identifier for sign-in, plus group membership, expense allocations and repayment records for shared accounting. Supabase is the selected authentication/backend provider; hosted development currently provides authentication only. Other members can see records authorized by their membership.

Bill imports and device storage

Original PDFs stay on the device. Reviewed amounts and minimal line aliases may be shared with the group. Drafts and saved submissions are encrypted locally. Use aliases and avoid unnecessary personal details about non-users.

Protection and optional notifications

Face ID protects the saved login on your device. Optional authenticator verification protects sign-in. Recovery codes are stored as hashes on the backend. Optional push notifications require a device token and use a generic update message without bill amounts or descriptions.

Export and deletion

The development app can export authorized records. A deletion request blocks access immediately and removes login/profile identifiers during processing. Shared accounting retains an anonymous member so other people’s balances remain correct. It does not automatically find every mention of a person in shared free text. The requesting device removes known local drafts; other offline devices cannot be remotely wiped.

Before launch

The final notice will describe production processors, retention, backup expiry, international transfers and applicable rights. No advertising or behavioral analytics is planned. Website delivery and support email are covered by the website privacy notice.
